For me, I really value and am grateful for the huge flexibility in choosing my working days. For many years, I have chosen to work on the weekends as I have a young family, which has been great for work/family balance. Law Compliance is very accommodating about remote working as well which again I believe further enhances work life balance. Working in a really friendly team also helps!

I really value the culture! Law Compliance is different to other more traditional law firms. Our solicitors don’t have billable targets and we offer a truly flexible and supportive working environment that encourages a healthy work-life balance. We also service such a variety of clients. For example, in just one day a solicitor could be preparing advice for a major ASX-listed company on its privacy requirements, researching helicopter landing sites for a public health service, and also helping a local charity comply with its animal welfare obligations.
Our culture recognises we all have lives and encourages us to live them – we are not expected to put work before our family and our health. We get help integrating our lives with work and the other way around, not the usual corporate culture of ‘Your Job Is Everything and All Else Takes A Back Seat.’ I don’t have to feel guilty going to the doctor, or wanting a day off to spend with my family. We can essentially be ourselves. That is so liberating!! The boss is very approachable, and we can pretty much speak to her whenever we need. I really value the ‘We do what’s right’ part of our culture. We don’t just do what’s most cost-effective and easiest. Our actions match words.
